Purvaai launches Autumn Winter 2012 Home Collection at Top Drawer Autumn Sep 12, 2012

Purvaai, launches its Autumn Winter Collection at Top Drawer Autumn in September 2012. This prestigious trade show features some of the most exciting designers and manufacturers of home and lifestyle accessories in the UK.

After a very well-received launch in January this year where Purvaai showcased its first ever Spring-Summer collection, it is now preparing to exhibit at the prestigious gifts and lifestyle accessories trade show, ‘Top Drawer Autumn’, at London’s Olympia, 16th -18th September, 2012.

Top Drawer, which takes place twice a year, is a unique retail buying event, where buyers ranging from independent high-street shops to department stores come to look for the next big thing in design-inspired products.

After a very successful Spring-Summer season, Purvaai will now introduce at this show its brand new Autumn-Winter 2012 collection, comprising specially designed home linen such as cushions, throws, and tea towels inspired by traditional arts and crafts such as intricate metal-inlay work, tie & dye and hand-woven, naturally dyed sheep’s wool from the foothills of the Himalayas.

“As we prepare for Top Drawer’s autumn show, what is very gratifying to us is, knowing we’re in the best company. Top Drawer’s selection policy for quality and design-led collections is approved by an independent committee, therefore, being able to exhibit here means that we’ve been handpicked from hundreds of new and exciting design-led companies and we can count ourselves amongst the best of British design” observes Sonali Deshpande, Co-founder and Director of Purvaai.

A very special aspect of this season’s collection is that some of the pieces on offer have been designed by talented young British Designers. “We were able to harness the wealth of design talent in the universities and colleges across the UK, through our first ever Home Textile design competition.” said Priya Raghavan, Co-founder and Director of Purvaai. “Moreover, we have even put some of the winning entries into production, and the designs (as well as the designers) can be seen at our stand at Top Drawer Autumn. We’re proud to do our bit to ensure that British design is promoted and can take centre stage.”
